Bella’s Halloween Green
Under the green night sky, there was a girl walking along a path illuminated by diamonds scattered like stars. She followed a pumpkin ghost glowing in a yellow hue, blending with the brightest backdrop of the world. Bella wanted to grab the cloak of the pumpkin ghost. Its cloak sparkled like a galaxy, and her eyes longed to hold onto it. However, Bella was a timid child and hesitated to bother the pumpkin ghost, which was the owner of her own little galaxy.
So, she lightly tugged at the cloak and continued following behind the pumpkin ghost. Time didn’t seem to pass much as Bella followed the light of the galaxy shining from the pumpkin ghost’s cloak. After a while, Bella arrived at the village of the pumpkin ghost, where various colors of light captivated her eyes and made it impossible to look away. She discovered that the light in the village was brighter than the sparkling light from the cloak of the pumpkin ghost.
However, Bella soon realized that the sparkling light from the cloak of the pumpkin ghost and the light in the village, although different in color, were shining in the same way. She understood that the sparkling light from the cloak of the pumpkin ghost was actually shining because of her own light. She could vaguely sense that there was a barrier preventing her from understanding the emotions she had just felt.
The Pumpkin Ghost knew that a child had been following him even before he arrived in the village. The child seemed to have a liking for the Pumpkin Ghost’s cloak. The Pumpkin Ghost wanted to make the child happy by purposely taking a detour and allowing the child to follow him for a while before heading to his village. After a long journey, the Pumpkin Ghost wanted to go to his village with the child, but there was a rule that forbade outsiders from entering the Pumpkin Ghost village.
The Pumpkin Ghost tried hard to remember a past incident where he had broken the rule, but he couldn’t recall anything. Now, it was just a rule that was mixed with legends and rumors for no apparent reason. When the Pumpkin Ghost arrived at the Pumpkin Ghost village, he quickly tried to part ways with the child and head towards his own home. But the child persistently followed and eventually caught up with the Pumpkin Ghost in front of his house.
‘Pumpkin Ghost, can’t you go without me? Isn’t that right?’
‘Why aren’t you saying anything?’
‘Don’t leave me here alone.’
Bella spoke a few words to the Pumpkin Ghost, but he remained silent. Bella then gave up and decided to explore the Pumpkin Ghost village. The Pumpkin Ghost pondered whether he should hide the child’s presence or let him stay, but realizing that it was Halloween season and there were no other Pumpkin Ghosts in the village, he quietly observed the child wandering around.
Bella looked at the Pumpkin Ghost’s village and wondered where she should go. No matter where she went, the Pumpkin village was adorned with elegant lights that would surely captivate her gaze. While organizing her thoughts for a moment, Bella became curious about trying to ride a large, dark green leaf that had fallen in the Pumpkin Ghost’s yard. She had seen records that said the leaf would naturally float when the wind blew. So she waited for the wind to blow.
After some time, the wind began to blow around the Pumpkin Ghost’s village, and the leaf that had started to float caught Bella’s attention. She tried her best to hold onto the leaf, not wanting it to fall, but just before it was about to slip from her grasp, something amazing happened right in front of her eyes.
One of the shimmering lights that floated around the Pumpkin Ghost’s village transformed into a jewel in Bella’s hand. Witnessing this scene, Bella instinctively placed the jewel on the leaf. In that moment, the leaf sprouted numerous small leaves and stems that firmly held onto Bella, preventing her from falling. Having escaped a near-fall, Bella was lost in thought and remembered that the shimmering lights around the Pumpkin Ghost’s village turned into jewels when held in her hands.
